Golden Mean Photo is the professional name of photographer Gergely Klusoczki.
I’m based in Newport, South Wales, with over a decade of experience behind the camera. While I’ve explored many areas of photography over the years—from wildlife and macro to long-exposure night scenes—I’ve found my strengths in food, product, and candid documentary-style work.
I’ve photographed events at my child’s school, captured special moments at a close friend’s wedding, and provided food and product imagery for local businesses. I particularly enjoy working behind the scenes, using longer lenses to capture people naturally, without disrupting the moment.
My approach to photography is technically precise. I spend time carefully setting up lighting and angles, especially in product work, where consistency and detail matter. I aim for clean, minimal images that tell a story or highlight a strong subject, supported by the scene—but never lost in it.
I edit my own work with the intention of staying true to the scene. Most of my edits follow a naturalistic approach, but I occasionally lean into bolder adjustments when a photo can’t quite capture the feel of the moment as I experienced it.
I’m currently looking to work with small businesses that need professional-quality images but may not always have the budget or access to larger studios. I have my own mobile setup, reliable transport, and flexible availability around Newport and the surrounding area.
Whether you need simple, clean product shots or candid coverage of a small event, I’m confident in delivering results that are both visually strong and technically sound.
I have been providing product and promotional photography for Bubble Trouble, a local bubble tea shop, since 2023. My work includes menu imagery and content for social media. While some earlier photos were contributed by another photographer, the current visuals reflect my ongoing photography and creative input.
Hungarian Cultural Society of Newport
This community-based organisation runs a volunteer-led Hungarian school for children - called Nefelejcs Tanoda - on Saturdays. Since 2023, I have regularly photographed their cultural events, documenting performances, seasonal celebrations, and group activities.
Since 2025, I have completed a variety of food photography assignments for OCUS, a platform that connects businesses with professional photographers.
